Spectrum Analyzers and NLFM Pulse Compression measurements
I am trying to determine the proper RBW and VBW for a SA while viewing a NLFM Pulse Compressed signal. The TX is L-Band freq, 115 usec and 15 usec PW with a 5.8 MHz NLFM modulation scheme. If I use BW = 0.35/Tr I will get BW of 175 kHz for 2 usec risetime or 875 kHz for a 4 nsec risetime. So to properly measure the 3 dB points on the SA would I have measure existing risetime to properly set the RBW?
