(Totally ignorant newbie question so please be gentle.)
I want to capture the waves radiating out in all directions, the largest possible surface area.
The problem is that microwave antennas are relatively small, so is the power captured. Is the
solution a bunch of tiny antennas? Note my model is waves radiating outward horizontally in
all directions from a central pillar/post. I'd like to enclose it within a stack of pancake coils, or...
I think the simple answer is that many antenna elements need to be used to cover the area. Or perhaps multiple reflectors that focus energy to a small number of antennas.
of course, the farther from the source, the more antennas will e needed.
